While the national Media and the country as a whole is in the midst of John Wall hysteria, Bill Self and the Kansas fan base have tried their best to start a debate over why their star frosh Xavier Henry isn’t receiving the same hype as Wall since they have similar stats, this is a non debate because a blind man can tell Wall is on a whole different level.

In the comment section KU fans call John Wall, Narcissistic, a ME player, a spoiled selfish bad teammate who only wants to stuff his stat sheet, apparently none of the posters have watched a UK game or kept tabs on Walls success, because he has proven himself to be a great team leader, who always looks to get his teammates involved, I think it was proven over the summer with Henry’s antics who the ME player really is, but lets look at why Wall is the media darling and X is being largely overlooked.

Kansas has played no one, Xaviers stats have come while pounding power houses like Lasalle U, while Wall has produced in big games facing UNC, Uconn, Indiana, and played huge in clutch spots, hitting the game winner versus Miami, and taking over against Stanford in a overtime victory.

Xavier is surrounded by experienced players who take pressure off him and draw the opponents best defenders, while Wall is the focus of every opponents defensive game plan, and is on a mostly young inexperienced team.

But the main reason Wall is considered the best freshmen in the nation over Henry is that JOHN WALL IS A PHENOM, he is a once in a lifetime player, he is the next generation point guard, he has a unmatched mix of speed, athleticism, explosiveness, and playmaking ability never before seen at his position. And While Xavier Henry is a great player, he is just one of hundreds of wing players to come along with the same skill set, Ron Mercer, Paul Pierce, Carmelo Anthony, Brandon Rush, and many others have matched or surpassed Xaviers skill package time and time again, he is just one in a long line of skilled wing players to pass through the college ranks, while John Wall is a special player the like the world has never seen.
