UK fans are getting spoiled, if  a player is not top #25 then we must not be recruiting them,WRONG, Calipari and company don’t look at ranking, they look at potential, and Black has a ton, He is ranked at # 46 nationally on Rivals, which is just one slot lower than a guy everyone wants CJ Leslie.

It seems that every recruit we go after lately is being pursued by Memphis, and this is no exception, Tarik’s hometown school is hot on his trail, but most think Duke is the team to beat.

Tarik Black is a extremely athletic power forward, who runs the floor great for a guy his size, he is an above the rim finisher, and phenomenal rebounder on either end of the floor, the thing that is most impressive about Black is his work ethic, he goes after rebounds like a bum after a bologna sandwich, he is non stop effort, regardless if he is playing defense or offense, he is pure hustle, and that can an immeasurable quality on a talent laden squad, the likes of which Kentucky is sure to have.

The downside in Tarik’s game is that he is still a little raw offensively, but his strong suit is finishing powerfully around the bucket, and that would work well with the weak side role in Cal’s system.
