Cross Country Cat ?????
It was time to take a road trip last week for 2011 SF Deandre Daniels and his father, as they drove from their home in Woodland Hills CA, down to Texas to attend their Elite Camp, then on to Lexington for an unofficial visit on UK’s Campus, ” I loved everything about UK, the facility’s, the staff, Coach Calipari is awesome”, and they offered me a scholarship, stated Daniels. He then went on to name UK and Texas as his leaders.
Deandre Daniels has the skill set to fit well in Calipari’s system, he is a long and rangy wing at 6-9 185 lbs, with great fundamentals, nice handle, exceptional athleticism, and a sweet transition game, but the thing about Daniels that has Coach’s salivating is his knock down shooting, the kid can flat scorch the nets, he has in the gym range.
Although very slim, Double D has an equally nice inside game he is a strong rebounder and a skilled shot blocker, he has nice post moves, power forwards can’t defend his speed, and wings have trouble with his size, if Deandre continues to improve at a steady rate he will be a gold mine for any team that lands him.
The weaknesses in Daniels game come on the Defensive end of the floor, he needs to gain strength and lateral foot speed to guard top level talent, but most scouts believe by the time he arrives on a college campus he will possess all the tools.
